MARION, Ind. -- The top 3-point shooting team in the Crossroads League was held without a trey as No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan University women’s basketball defeated visiting Bethel (Ind.) 69-47 on Saturday in Luckey Arena.

What Went Down

  • Indiana Wesleyan opened the contest on a 16-5 run and did not trail the entire game.
  • The Wildcats led by as many as 13 points in the second quarter and took a 31-21 lead into intermission.
  • Indiana Wesleyan led by double digits the entire second half. IWU had a game-high 24 point lead on two occasions late in the fourth quarter.
  • Bethel was 0-of-13 from 3-point range today. The fewest 3-pointers they had in a game this season was four.
  • Kelsey Key (JR/Anderson, Ind.) scored a game-high 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting. She also had two blocks and three steals.
  • Haley Woodruff (JR/Evansville, Ind.) added 10 points.
  • Indiana Wesleyan shot 49.1-percent (28 of 57) from the field and 81.8-percent (9 of 11) from the free throw line.
  • Bethel was limited to 30.8-percent shooting (16 of 52).

  • Bethel had connected on at least four 3-pointers in every game before being held to zero today.
  • The Pilots entered the game with a league-best 104 3-pointers.
