Box Score 2 GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- No. 23 Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball won a marathon five set match against No. 18 Georgetown (Ky.) on Saturday afternoon in Georgetown, Kentucky in the NAIA Volleyball Game of the Week.
The match between the two top-25 opponents came in the final match of the Boneyard Brawl hosted by Georgetown. Indiana Wesleyan won the clash by scores of 25-22, 19-25, 25-22, 21-25, 20-18.

“We needed to reach higher today with both of our matches and we did,” said Wildcat head coach Candace Moats. “Even though we did not win our first match against Columbia we learned more of our team’s potential. The team saw that and took it into the match against Georgetown.”

Both had a team-high 12 kills while Bucknor contributed two solo blocks and seven block assists while Miller added one solo block and six block assists. “This was a thrilling win to beat a high level team like Georgetown in front of their crowd,” added Moats. “I loved watching the fight, the belief in each other, and the poise in the final set when it was point for point on who was going to win.”
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 24-7 this season following wins against Saint Thomas (Fla.) on Friday and Georgetown on Saturday.
“This tournament has given us the confidence we need to finish the season strong,” concluded Moats. “I am proud to be a Wildcat.”
Indiana Wesleyan returns to Crossroads League play on Wednesday when they host Saint Francis (Ind.). The match begins at 7 p.m. inside Luckey Arena.
