Box Score SPRING ARBOR, Mich. -- Five different Wildcats had double digit kills Wednesday night as No. 24 Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball won a 3-1 road match at Spring Arbor (Mich.). Indiana Wesleyan won the match by scores of 25-21 21-25, 25-23, 25-19.
The victory is the sixth in a row for the Wildcats in Crossroads League matches. IWU is 19-5 overall and remains in second place in the league with a 10-1 record. The Cougars drop to 5-17 on the year and 1-11 in the Crossroads League.
Katey Holler (SR/Marion, Ohio) finished the evening with 27 assists and Emily Workman (SO/Tinley Park, Ill.) added 26. Workman, Lindsay Rogan (JR/Champaign, Ill.), Banner Rodgers (SO/Carrollton, Texas), Ashlen Buck (JR/Brazil, Ind.), and Kelly Cypher (SR/Libertyville, Ill.) each served one ace.
Defensively, the Wildcats totaled eight blocks and were led by Bucknor with one solo block and four block assists. Thomas, Collicott, and Portera each earned a solo block. Buck led all players with 24 digs while Cypher added 16 digs and Holler earned 12.
Indiana Wesleyan returns home for a pair of critical weekend matches. IWU hosts Crossroads League leader #RV Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) at 7 p.m. on Friday night and then hosts Taylor (Ind.) at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the IWU-Taylor Rivalry Match sponsored by Marion General Hospital.
