Box Score MARION, Ind. -- Wildcat Field is set to play host to four games during the first day of competition of the Crossroads League Softball Championship. The tournament begins on April 30 at Indiana Wesleyan and Taylor (Ind.).
Taylor is the host school for the league championship by virtue of winning the Crossroads League regular season championship. Since the tournament has been changed to an eight team format due to many weather cancelations this season, a second field was needed for first day games and Indiana Wesleyan was selected.
Indiana Wesleyan is the No. 7-seed in the tournament and opens with No. 2-seed Bethel (Ind.) at 1 p.m. on Wednesday. No. 3-Huntington (Ind.) and No. 6-seed Spring Arbor (Mich.) begin the tournament Wednesday morning at Wildcat Field with an 11 a.m. start time. The winners of those two games meet at 4 p.m. while the losing teams play at 6 p.m.
The remaining schedule of games on Thursday and Friday will be played at Gudaknust Field on the campus of Taylor in Upland, Indiana.
