Box Score MARION, Ind. -- The national office has released the first NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top-25 regular season poll and Indiana Wesleyan University is ranked No. 5.
Indiana Wesleyan maintains a 7-1 record to open the 2014-15 season. IWU was ranked No. 3 in the preseason poll which was released at the end of October.
Morningside is the unanimous No. 1 selection with 374 points and all 14 first place votes. Davenport (Mich.) is second with 362 points, Concordia (Neb.) is third at 341 points, St. Xavier (Ill.) ranks fourth at 340 points, and Indiana Wesleyan is fifth 324 points.
Indiana Wesleyan’s lone loss came against Cardinal Stritch (Wis.) which is tied for No. 6 in the poll.
Indiana Wesleyan plays at Grace on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. and then hosts No. 8-ranked Saint Francis (Ind.) at 1 p.m. on Saturday in Luckey Arena.
