Box Score MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball collected their biggest win of the 2014 season on Saturday with a 3-2 victory over No. 14-ranked Georgetown (Ky.) at Luckey Arena during IWU Homecoming.
Indiana Wesleyan twice had to come from behind to win the non-league match. Georgetown won the opening game 25-19 and IWU tied it with a 25-22 victory in the second game. Georgetown recaptured the lead with a 26-24 win in the third set before Indiana Wesleyan won the final two games by scores of 25-14 and 15-8.
Kristin Predajna (JR/Fishers, Ind.) had her best effort of the season to lead the Wildcats. Predajna tallied a match-best 17 kills which is the second most in her career. She also assisted on three of the nine Wildcat blocks. Remy Bucknor (SO/Euless, Texas) added 14 kills and a .355 hitting percentage while Morgan Miller (FR/Goshen, Ind.) contributed 13 kills and Bianca Cifaldi (SO/Itasca, Ill.) had 11. Emily Workman (FR/Tinley Park, Ill.) earned a match-high 27 assists while Katey Holler (JR/Marion, Ohio) finished with 23.
Ashlen Buck (SO/Brazil, Ind.) earned 24 digs and Banner Rodgers (FR/Carrollton, Texas) finished with 15. Cifaldi blocked two Georgetown kill attempts and Bucknor assisted on three.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 16-4 this season while Georgetown falls to 14-6.
IWU returns to action at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night with a Crossroads League match at Mount Vernon Nazarene in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
