Box Score FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball won their 10th match in 11 tries on Wednesday evening as they defeated host Saint Francis (Ind.) 3-0 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Wildcats improve to 24-5 on the season with a 14-1 mark in Crossroads League play. IWU won their 24th match of the season with a 25-23, 25-15, 25-8 victory over the Cougars. USF falls to 11-13 and 7-8 in league play.
Kristin Predajna (JR/Fishers, Ind.) had a big night for the Wildcats as she finished with 11 kills and a .455 hitting percentage. Predajna was the only player for either side with double digit kills. Remy Bucknor (SO/Euless, Texas) and Bianca Cifaldi (SO/Itasca, Ill.) contributed six kills apiece while Katey Holler (JR/Marion, Ohio) assisted on 30 attacks. The Wildcats served eight aces on the night as Sam Elkin (SO/Ebensburg, Pa.) earned three and Kelly Cypher (JR/Libertyville, Ill.) and Ashlen Buck (SO/Brazil, Ind.) each served two.
Buck led Indiana Wesleyan with 10 digs while Morgan Miller (FR/Goshen, Ind.) added nine. IWU blocked four Saint Francis kill attempts. Kylie Portera (SO/Lake in the Hills, Ill.) had one solo and one block assist while Bucknor assisted on two blocked shots.
Indiana Wesleyan has an important weekend ahead as they compete in the Boneyard Brawl in Georgetown, Kentucky. IWU will play No. 14 Davenport (Mich.) and No. 9 Viterbo (Wis.) on Friday and then battle #RV Bryan (Tenn.) and No. 13 Columbia (Mo.) on Saturday.
