Box Score HUNTINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team has regained a slice of the Crossroads League lead tonight following a 3-0 victory on the road at Huntington (Ind.).
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 11-4 overall and 6-1 in the Crossroads League. Taylor (Ind.) defeated Bethel (Ind.) tonight and now all three teams now sit atop the league standings with one loss each. Huntington falls to 2-11 overall and 1-5 in the Crossroads League.
“Huntington has done a great job improving their program and they really pressed us hard and challenged us,” said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Candace Moats. “We thought they did a great job tonight.”
Indiana Wesleyan boasted the top three kill leaders on Wednesday night. Kristine Egebrecht had the most with 13 kills while Kristin Predajna and Remy Bucknor each added nine. Defensively, Rebecca Brandes and Katie Holler each totaled 14 digs.
The Wildcats return home for a pair of home matches this weekend. IWU hosts Marian (Ind.) at 7 p.m. on Friday and then play Grace (Ind.) at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
