Box Score MARION, Ind. -- It was Pink Out Night for Breast Cancer Awareness as the Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team continued its recent dominance over Saint Francis (Ind.) with a 3-0 win inside Luckey Arena.
The Wildcats defeated the Cougars by scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-23. The win is the ninth consecutive win for the Wildcats in the series and the team has won 22 straight sets over the Cougars.
Kristine Egebrecht produced a quality night for Indiana Wesleyan with a match-high 13 kills and a .458 kill percentage. She also had a solo and block assist. Rae Brandes was the only other player on either side with double digit kills with 10 and she also added seven digs.
Katey Holler earned all 41 assists tonight for the Wildcats and Rebecca Brandes led all players with 21 digs. Remy Bucknor continued her stellar play defensively at the net with two solo and three block assists. Bucknor also had the third most kills on the evening with eight and she tallied a .600 hitting percentage. IWU served eight aces tonight with four by Kelly Cypher and three more by Sam Elkin.
Indiana Wesleyan was dressed in pink uniform tops tonight for Breast Cancer Awareness. Cancer Services of Grant County was in attendance and had a table full of information inside Luckey Arena.
The Wildcats improve to 21-6 this season and 12-2 in Crossroads League games. The Cougars fall to 12-14 and 6-9 in league play.
Indiana Wesleyan remains in Crossroads League play with a road match at Marian (Ind.) on Friday night at 7 p.m. The match will be contested in Indianapolis, Indiana.
