Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The top two volleyball teams in the Crossroads League battled tonight in Mishawaka, Indiana. Bethel (Ind.) claimed a 3-0 victory over Indiana Wesleyan University and now sits alone atop the league standings.
Indiana Wesleyan (19-6) falls to 10-2 in the league while Bethel (17-8) improves to 11-1. No other Crossroads League team has less than four losses. Both Indiana Wesleyan losses have come in three set defeats to Bethel. Tonight, Bethel won by scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-22.
Kristine Egebrecht was the only Wildcat to reach double digits in kills tonight with 10 and she also led the club with three block assists. Rae Brandes added nine kills and 12 digs while Rebecca Brandes led all players with 27 digs. Katey Holler assisted on 25 kills and added eight digs while Raina Troyer finished with the lone service ace.
Indiana Wesleyan will look to rebound tomorrow afternoon with a 3 p.m. start at Goshen (Ind.) in Goshen, Indiana.
