Box Score INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The wins keep coming for the Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team as they defeated host Marian (Ind.) University 3-0 tonight in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Wildcats won 25-10, 25-21, 25-19 for their eighth consecutive victory and they have won the last 10 games they have played. The 10th ranked Wildcats improve to 15-1 and 8-1 in the Crossroads League.
Indiana Wesleyan continues to be led this week by junior middle hitter Kristine Egebrecht and senior outside hitter Rachel Quackenbush. The pair each contributed match-highs of 15 kills. Egebrecht earned a .556 kill percentage and was a part of three blocks while Quackenbush hit .324 with 13 digs.
Junior outside hitter Rae Brandes was the third Wildcat with double digit kills as she finished with 10. Brandes also added eight digs and three block assists. Senior setter Yui Iwase exceled on Saturday with 41 assists and 17 digs while junior libero Rebecca Brandes tallied a match-best 19 digs.
Indiana Wesleyan will now leave league play for the rest of September and venture into non-league action. First on the docket is No. 19-ranked IU-East on Wednesday in Richmond, Indiana.
