Box Score MARION, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University showcased its new No. 10-ranking on Wednesday in a convincing 3-0 manner over visiting Spring Arbor (Mich.) in Luckey Arena.
All 12 Wildcats saw action tonight in a 25-8, 25-17, 25-22 victory. The win pushes the Wildcats' record to 13-1 overall and 6-1 atop the Crossroads League standings. Spring Arbor falls to 1-15 and 0-6 in league play.
Senior outside hitter Rachel Quackenbush had one of her best performances this season with a season-high 13 kills. She quickly totaled seven kills in the first game and hit .281 on the night.
Junior middle hitter Kristine Egebrecht completed the match with 10 kills and a .368 kill percentage. The double digit night in attacks is the 10th straight for Egebrecht and her 12th of the season. She also had four digs, an ace, and one solo block and one block assist.
Senior outside hitter Brooke Atwell was the most efficient Wildcat on Wednesday with eight kills in nine chances for a .889 attacking percentage. The eight kills is a season-best for the senior.
Senior setter Yui Iwase assisted on 30 kills and freshman Katie Holler added eight assists and seven digs. Junior libero Rebecca Brandes earned a match-high 14 digs.
Indiana Wesleyan takes to the road this weekend for a pair of Crossroads League contests. On Friday, Indiana Wesleyan travels to Saint Francis (Ind.) in Fort Wayne and on Saturday play at Marian (Ind.) in Indianapolis.
