Box Score HUNTINGTON, Ind. -- No. 11-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball met little resistance tonight in a 3-0 victory at Huntington (Ind.). The Wildcats cruised to the win in three games by scores of 25-12, 25-13, 25-15.
"I was really pleased with our consistency of play tonight," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Candace Moats. "There were a lot of different lineups and we worked on different things. We were really focused and played hard all three games. The girls just gave a really great effort tonight and the results show that."
Junior middle hitter Kristine Egebrecht had yet another great performance. She led all players with 12 kills and a stellar .688 attack percentage. Egebrecht also served an ace in addition to one solo block and one block assist.
Junior outside hitter Rae Brandes added 10 kills with a .320 kill percentage as well as a match-best nine digs and a service ace. Senior setter Yui Iwase assisted on 25 kills and freshman middle hitter Kristin Predajna contributed seven kills, a .417 hitting percentage, and three block assists.
The Wildcats finished the night with a .373 kill percentage as a team while keeping the Foresters (0-8, 0-3 Crossorads League) at a -.027 clip. IWU earned a .300 hitting percentage or better in each game.
Indiana Wesleyan (10-1, 3-1 Crossroads League) returns to Luckey Arena for a pair of matches this weekend. IWU hosts Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) at 7 p.m. on Friday and then No. 18-ranked Taylor (Ind.) at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
