Box Score MARION, Ind. -- The No. 9-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team continues to rack up victories as the team won again Wednesday night with a 3-0 win against Goshen (Ind.) College in Luckey Arena.
The victory is the 14th straight for the Wildcats as they have not lost since September 5. During the elongated winning streak, the Wildcats have defeated three ranked opponents and eight different Crossroads League teams.
Junior middle hitter Kristine Egebrecht, the reigning NAIA National Volleyball Player of the Week, was the only player on either side with double digit kills. She finished with 12 kills and a .308 attacking percentage as she now has 18 straight matches with at least 10 finishers. Egebrecht also contributed a solo block and four block assists.
Senior setter Yui Iwase paced Indiana Wesleyan with 37 assists. Iwase also had four digs, three block assists, and one service ace. Junior outside hitter Rae Brandes chipped in with nine kills and 11 digs while sophomore opposite hitter Alijah Mulitauopele earned eight kills and two solo blocks. Senior outside hitter Brooke Atwell ended the evening with seven kills and a .267 hitting percentage and junior libero Rebecca Brandes amassed a match-best 15 digs.
Indiana Wesleyan is 21-1 on the season while Goshen drops to 8-14.
The Wildcats return to action at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 6 against Bethel (Ind.) College. It is a home match during Homecoming inside Luckey Arena.
