Box Score SPRING ARBOR, Mich. -- Ninth-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball dominated hosted Spring Arbor (Mich.) University 3-0 Wednesday night for the Wildcats' 21st consecutive victory.
Indiana Wesleyan earned the sweep over Spring Arbor by scores of 25-10, 25-15, 25-8. IWU is now 28-1 overall and 16-1 in the Crossroads League while the Cougars fall to 1-27 and 0-17 in league play.
Junior middle hitter Kristine Egebrecht nearly matched Spring Arbor in kills with 14 as SAU totaled 18 as a team. Egebrecht hit .579 and was a part of two blocks. Freshman middle hitter Kristin Predajna and junior opposite hitter Shelby Newberry each contributed five kills as the Wildcats his .346 for the night.
Senior setter Yui Iwase assisted on 35 kills while junior libero Rebecca Brandes led all players with 15 digs. Senior outside hitter Rachel Quackenbush served two of the Wildcats five aces.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to action this weekend at the Boneyard Brawl in Georgetown, Kentucky. Of their four matches at the tournament, IWU will play No. 15-ranked IU-East on Friday and No. 5-ranked Lee (Tenn.) University on Saturday.
