Box Score WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University softball season came to a close Saturday with a third place finish at the NCCAA National Championship in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University avenged an earlier loss to Indiana Wesleyan in the national championship with a victory over IWU by a 2-0 margin. Indiana Wesleyan won the earlier meeting on Friday by a 7-4 margin.
Olivet Nazarene advances to the NCCAA national championship later in the day against Central Baptist (Ark.) College.
The Wildcats held the potent Tigers to just two runs which both came in the sixth inning.
Abbie Forman started for Indiana Wesleyan and allowed just two hits in four innings. Nicole Clark came in relief of Forman and allowed two runs on five hits in three innings of work.
Centerfielder Tamara Davis finished with two of the five Indiana Wesleyan hits on the day.
The Wildcats' season comes to a close with a 32-19 record.
