Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball continued it winning ways Friday with a 3-1 victory over tournament host Georgetown (Ky.) College in the second match of the Boneyard Brawl.
The 22-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22 victory over Georgetown was the second of the day for the Wildcats. IWU defeated Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) University in the weekend's opening match 3-0.
With the pair of wins, Indiana Wesleyan improves to a season best 19-8 this season. Indiana Wesleyan advances its win streak to eight in a row and has now won 12 of its last 13. With the loss, Georgetown falls to 21-9.
Freshman outside hitter Rae Brandes led Indiana Wesleyan in both kills (13) and digs (20) in the four set victory. Sophomore setter Yui Iwase collected 36 assists and junior outside hitter Kate Denlinger served three aces. Junior middle hitter Lauryn Barfell paced the Wildcats at the net with one solo and eight block assists.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to the court tomorrow for the final day of competition at the Boneyard Brawl in Georgetown, Kentucky. IWU will battle No. 24-ranked Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University at 9 a.m. and will complete the weekend against Campbellsville (Ky.) University at 11 a.m.
