Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball continues to sizzle on the court as the Wildcats stole a 3-1 road win at Bethel (Ind.) College Wednesday night in Mishawaka, Indiana.
The 25-17, 21-25, 25-21, 25-20 victory improves the Indiana Wesleyan conference record to 8-3 on the season. Indiana Wesleyan is now second in the Mid-Central College Conference standings.
Three Wildcats tallied double digit kills on Wednesday. Leading the way was junior middle hitter Peyton Thompson with 13. Junior outside hitter Kate Denlinger added 12 and sophomore outside hitter Rachel Quackenbush finished with 10. Denlinger earned a kill percentage of .407 on the night.
Freshman middle hitter Kristine Egebrecht earned six block assists against Bethel as Indiana Wesleyan ended with 20 in the match. Thompson contributed four block assists while Denlinger and freshman outside hitter Rae Brandes both had three.
Sophomore setter Yui Iwase completed the win with a double-double. Iwase had team-highs with 47 assists and 15 digs. Brandes and Thompson each added 13 digs for the Wildcats.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 14-8 this season while Bethel drops to 18-12 and 5-8 in conference.
The Wildcats next match will be at home in Luckey Arena. IWU hosts Grace (Ind.) College at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 22.
