HUNTINGTON, Ind. -- Ryan Hetrick scored 17 of his 19 points in the second half as the Indiana Wesleyan University men's basketball team overcame a double digit halftime deficit to escape with an 84-76 road victory at No. 12-ranked Huntington (Ind.) University.

Hetrick, a senior guard, was the main cog in the Wildcat turnaround in the second half which featured Indiana Wesleyan out-scoring Huntington 54-36. The huge second half erased the 10 point Huntington lead which was 40-30 at the break. Hetrick ended the night with 19 points as he shot 7-of-9 from the floor and 3-of-3 from 3-point range.

Indiana Wesleyan shot 52.7-percent (29 of 55) from the floor and hit on 53.8-percent (7 of 13) from beyond the arc. IWU was also able to capitalize from the free throw line as the Wildcats hit on 15-of-16 (93.8-percent) during the second half.

Reigning NAIA DII Player of the Week, senior center Zach Coverstone, led the team with 21 points, eight rebounds and four assists. He finished 7-of-11 from the floor and 7-of-11 from the charity stripe.

Two other Wildcats completed the game with double digits in the scoring column, joining Coverstone and Hetrick. Sophomore guard Derrick Troyer played an excellent game for the Wildcats off the bench with 14 points and a pair of assists. Junior forward Will Hubertz, playing in just his third game back from injury, tallied 10 points and four boards.

Indiana Wesleyan had nine players score in the win and all nine Wildcats played at least 12 minutes.

The Wildcats extend their win streak to eight straight games and during the stretch have defeated three teams ranked inside the top-15 of the NAIA DII Top-25 Coaches' Poll.

Indiana Wesleyan will remain on the road for their next conference game at 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 7 as the Wildcats travel to play No. 25-ranked Spring Arbor (Mich.) University.
