Box Score 2 ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- No. 24-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball dropped both matches to NAIA ranked opponents Friday during the first day of the Red Raider Classic in Orange City, Iowa.
The Wildcats lost a three set match to No. 23-ranked Doane (Neb.) College in the first match of the day. Doane won in straight sets by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 27-25.
In the nightcap, No. 5-ranked and host Northwestern (Iowa) College defeated Indiana Wesleyan 3-0 by scores of 25-14, 24-16 and 25-15.
With the loss, the Wildcats drop to 1-2 in the early season. IWU plays a pair of matches on Saturday to close out the tournament. Indiana Wesleyan plays No. 16 Dordt (Iowa) College at 11 a.m. and Briar Cliff (Iowa) University at 3 p.m.
