Box Score 2 FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Box 1, Box 2) -- Indiana Wesleyan University softball took both games of a Mid-Central College Conference doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
The Wildcats won the first game 5-4 and earned a 5-0 shutout for the sweep.
Molly Yothment was 2-for-3 at the dish with two doubles while Katie Berkemeier, Katie Brummett and Christy Gibson all rapped out hits as well.
Kate Hall was the winning pitcher.
Abbie Forman led the Wildcats to the 5-0 victory in game two as she pitched a three-hit complete game.
Brummett was 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run and Yothment also went 2-for-4 and added a double. Kelsey Decker and Berkemeier each had two hits in the win while Tamara Davis picked up a double.
Indiana Wesleyan is now 24-13 on the season and evens their MCC record at 7-7. Saint Francis falls to 9-23 overall and 3-11 in conference action.
Indiana Wesleyan hosts the IWU Tournament this weekend. The Wildcats will play Trinity Christian (Ill.) College on Friday at 2 p.m. and Grace (Ind.) College at 4 p.m.
