Box Score 2 KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Indiana Wesleyan University softball earned a shutout victory and then were shutout during the first day of the Rebel Spring Games in Kissimmee, Florida.
In the first day of the Spring Break trip, Indiana Wesleyan defeated Walsh (Ohio) University 6-0. Nicole Clark was brilliant pitching, allowing just two hits while striking out four in the shutout win.
Morgan Wheeler and Allison Reichard paced the offensive attack with two hits apiece. Abbie Forman, Molly Yothment and Christy Gibson all contributed a hit as well.
In the Wildcats' second game, Indiana Wesleyan lost 4-0 to Saint Xavier (Ill.) University.
Tamara Davis constituted the entire Indiana Wesleyan offense as she was 3-of-3 from the plate. Saint Xavier produced seven hits in the contest and scored all four runs after the third inning of play.
Indiana Wesleyan is now 3-2 on the season and play Gwynedd Mercy tomorrow at 1 p.m. and Northwood (Fla.) University at 5 p.m.
