Box Score MARION, Ind. (Box score) -- Marian (Ind.) University won in three sets over the Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team on Tuesday night in Mid-Central College Conference action at Luckey Arena.
The Knights took the straight sets victory by scores of 25-16, 25-22 and 25-14.
Both teams wore pink uniforms to support Cancer Awareness Night. Many spectators also wore pink at the match in honor of the fight against cancer.
IWU senior outside hitter Kelli Ziegler paced the Wildcats with 10 kills, a .292 hitting percentage and 12 digs. Sophomore setter Kelsey Masuda passed 11 assists while freshman defensive specialist Jordan Sudzina earned three service aces.
Indiana Wesleyan falls to 6-21 this season and 1-4 in conference action. Marian improves to 14-5 and 3-2 in the MCC.
The Wildcats return to play this weekend when Indiana Wesleyan hosts the IWU Invitational. Indiana Wesleyan opens the tournament at 2 p.m. on Friday with a match against Ohio Dominican University.
