Box Score 2 LIVONIA, Mich. -- Embry-Riddle (Fla.) University and No. 18-ranked Madonna (Mich.) University each defeated the Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team 3-0 on Saturday in the second day of competition at the Crusader Classic hosted by Madonna.
The Wildcats lost to Embry-Riddle (20-7) by scores of 21-25, 20-25 and 14-25 and completed the weekend with a loss to host Madonna (30-4) by scores of 14-25, 20-25 and 23-25.
IWU senior Kelli Ziegler was named to the All-Tournament team for her play in the four matches. She added 20 more kills in the two competitions on Saturday.
Freshman setter Yui Iwase tallied 51 assists and served six aces. Sophomore defensive specialist Kelsey Masuda earned 16 digs and sophomore middle hitter Lauryn Barfell contributed one solo block and five block assists.
Indiana Wesleyan is now 9-28 for the season.
The Wildcats will next play on Tuesday, October 27 in the final regular season home match of the season against Bethel (Ind.) College. The match begins at 7 p.m.
