The Wildcats cruised to the win column with scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-16.
No. 24-ranked Indiana Wesleyan improves to 9-7 overall and 1-0 in MCC play while Spring Arbor tumbles to 8-8 and 1-1 in conference action.
"We have played lots of top teams this season who are big bangers," said Indiana Wesleyan head coach Candace Moats. "So we had to adjust our play tonight against a team that plays very differently and likes to dump the ball. But I am very pleased with our girls for getting this win in three sets tonight."
Reigning MCC Player of the Week, Rebekah Reichard, tallied a team best 11 kills and five service aces while junior opposite hitter Kelli Ziegler chipped in with seven kills. Senior setter Christy Beam tallied 28 assists as sophomore libero Kelley Morris tied Ziegler for team honors with nine digs.
Said Moats, "If we want to be a top-25 team we need to play at a high level consistently. We need to go out and play our game and not to how our opponent is playing. When our team plays that way we will be a very good team."
Indiana Wesleyan will play another top notch team in their next match. The Wildcats travel to play University of Indianapolis at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17. The Greyhounds are currently ranked No. 22 in NCAA Division II.
