Box Score MARION, Ind. -- The Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team dispatched visiting University of Saint Francis (Ind.) 3-0 in the opening round of the Mid-Central College Conference Tournament on Tuesday evening in Luckey Arena.
The No. 3-seeded Wildcats earned the convincing straight set victory with scores of 25-18, 25-15 and 25-17.
Senior Rebekah Reichard, the reigning MCC Player of the Week, totaled a match-high 18 kills with a .356 hitting percentage. Freshman Kelsey Masuda tallied 11 digs and junior Kelli Ziegler had 10. Senior Krystin Coleman passed out 16 assists and senior Christy Beam contributed 13.
Indiana Wesleyan improves to 25-14 this season while No. 6-seed Saint Francis ends their season at 15-14.
The Wildcats advance to the MCC Tournament semifinals where IWU will battle the second seed, Bethel (Ind.) College. The match begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 13 in Mishawaka, Indiana.
