Box Score 2 GEORGETOWN, Ky. - The Indiana Wesleyan University volleyball team faced of with a pair of NAIA top-10 programs on Friday afternoon in the opening day of the Boneyard Brawl in Georgetown, Kentucky.
Indiana Wesleyan gave No. 8-ranked Lindenwood (Mo.) University a major scare in a five set match to open the tournament.
Lindenwood won the final two sets to overcome the Indiana Wesleyan upset bid. The Wildcats dropped the match by scores of 25-21, 21-25, 25-18, 24-26 and 12-15.
In the nightcap, Indiana Wesleyan fell in three sets to the tournament host, No. 10-ranked Georgetown (Ky.) College.
IWU dropped the match by scores of 23-25, 19-25 and 16-25.
The Wildcats are now 22-12 on the season.
Indiana Wesleyan will complete the Boneyard Brawl on Saturday. The Wildcats will battle St. Xavier (Ill.) University and an opponent to be determined.
