Winona Lake, IN (January 5, 2008) ? The NAIA No. 9 ranked Indiana Wesleyan University women?s basketball team defeated MCC foe Grace Colllege 56-47 Saturday afternoon to push their consecutive wins total to 55.

The Wildcats (17-0, 3-0) were led by seniors Brooke Amstutz and Lisa Thompson. Amstutz had a game-high 17, while Thompson added 14 points for the Wildcats.

Junior Kyra Pappas had a game-high 10 rebounds.

IWU jumped to an early lead in the first half as they entered the locker room up 31-19, but Grace made a second half run that resulted in a two-point lead.  The Wildcats responded with a run of their own to end the game and get the win. 

IWU is back in action Wednesday, January 9, at MCC opponent Marian College tipping off at 7:00 p.m.
