Box Score LAKE WALES, Fla. -- The Indiana Weselayn University women's basketball team extended their NAIA record to 54 consecutive victories as the Wildcats won all three of their games at the Warner Southern Tournament in Lake Wales, Florida.
Indiana Wesleyan defeated Emmanuel (Ga.) College 62-45 on Thursday to advance to the tournament semifinals. Brooke Amstutz and Leann Douglas led the Wildcats with 16 points a piece.
IWU met Madonna (Mich.) Unversity on Friday. The Wildcats earned a hard fought 48-42 victory as Amstutz recoreded a team-best 14 points while Lisa Thompson added five points and 14 rebounds.
The Wildcas completed the tournament with a 64-57 victory over Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College on Saturday in the championship game. Four Wildcats scored in double figures to lead a balanced attack. Amstutz scored 15 points and Andrea Fichter contributed 14. Lisa Thompson and Kayla Thompson each recorded 12 ponts.
Amstutz and Lisa Thompson were eached named to the All-Tournament team.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to action at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, as IWU travels to Grace (Ind.) College for Mid-Central College Conference action.
