Box Score RICHMOND, Ind. -- Seven Wildcats scored in double figures as the Indiana Wesleyan University men?s basketball team cruised to a 111-67 victory over Indiana University-East on Monday night in Richmond, Indiana.
IU-East entered the game leading NAIA Division II by averaging 97 points per game. Indiana Wesleyan held the high octane offense to 30 points under their average.
Junior Antonio Murrell led the Wildcats with 17 points on 5-of-6 shooting. He grabbed seven rebounds and dished out nine assists without committing a turnover. Sophomore Spencer Harris also poured in 17 points and collected nine rebounds.
Sophomore Zach Coverstone earned a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds while sophomore Josh Williams scored 12 points (6 of 7 shooting), six rebounds and five steals, all in just 13 minutes of play.
Freshmen Will Hubertz and Jordan Bragg each added 11 points while sophomore Clint Cochran contributed 10 points. Sophomore Ryan Hetrick chipped in nine points and six assists.
Junior Ian McCulla held IU-East?s Joe Ramey, the NAIA Division II leading scorer with 30.6 points per game, to only 18 points for the contest.
The team effort was highlighted by the Wildcats? 57 points off the bench.
Indiana Wesleyan shot 57.0-perecent (44 of 77) from the floor and 51.9-percent (14 of 27) from beyond the arc.
The Wildcats improve to 10-4 on the season while IU-East falls to 4-8.
Indiana Wesleyan returns to action at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, as the Wildcats host Purdue University-Calumet (Ind.) in Luckey Arena.
