Box Score Mishawaka, Ind. -- The NAIA No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan University women?s basketball team defeated Madonna University 62-42 Saturday in the MCC/WHAC Challenge.
The Wildcats (12-0) held Madonna to just 15 points in the first half as they took a 33-15 lead en route to their 50th consecutive victory.
Madonna struggled to get their offense running against the Wildcat defense as the Crusaders shot a mere 31 percent from the field and just 1-for-15 from behind the arc.
IWU was led in scoring by senior Lisa Thompson with 17 points and junior Andrea Fichter with 14 points. Fichter and junior Kyra Pappas led the Wildcats with five rebounds apiece, and freshman Kayla Thompson contributed a team-high six assists towards the victory.
The Wildcats continue play on Tuesday, December 18, at home against Malone College at 7:00 p.m.
