Mishawaka, IN (December 14, 2007) ? The NAIA No. 9 Indiana Wesleyan University women?s basketball team overcame poor shooting to defeat Cornerstone University 51-50 Friday night at the MCC/WHAC Challenge.

The victory extends the Wildcats winning streak to 49 consecutive games.

Freshman Kayla Thompson led the Wildcats (11-0) with 16 points, while senior Lisa Thompson added 14 points and junior Andrea Fichter added 12 points.

Brooke Amstutz led IWU with four assists and tied Lisa Thompson with a team-high six rebounds.

The Wildcats play again Saturday, December 15, against Madonna University as play continues at the MCC/WHAC Challenge.
