Scott Anderson - MA, LAT, ATC

Scott Anderson joined Indiana Wesleyan University’s Athletic Training staff in 2016, where he currently serves as the primary athletic trainer for the IWU Football team. Additionally, he plays a crucial role in the sports medicine support team for the US Olympic and Paralympic Training Centers, Team USA Dive, and IWU ROTC Program.

Prior to his tenure at IWU, Scott served at a high school in Santa Barbara County, Southern California, delivering Athletic Training services across various sports and instructing a Sports Medicine class at the high school level.

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Arts in Leadership and Organizational Studies from Azusa Pacific University. During his time at Azusa Pacific, he served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, working with Acrobatics and Tumbling, Women’s Swim & Dive, and Football.

A member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association, and Indiana Athletic Trainers Association, Scott also serves as a preceptor in the IWU Master of Science Athletic Training program. He is certified in Mental Health First-Aid, SafeSport, USADA Training, and as a CPR/AED/First-Aid Instructor, and holds credentials in Blood Flow Restriction and Graston Technique.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Scott, a self-proclaimed food enthusiast, enjoys exploring diverse culinary experiences during his world travels with his wife, Haley and son, Steven.
