Mark Castro tendered his resignation as head men’s soccer coach at Indiana Wesleyan University, effectively October 23, 2014.

Castro was in his 11th season as the head coach at Indiana Wesleyan. He leaves with a record of 143-78-14 (.638). Indiana Wesleyan won six Crossroads League regular season championships and two Crossroads League Tournament championships under Castro. He led the program to its first ever NAIA National Tournament appearance and its first ever win at the NAIA National Tournament in 2013.

“We appreciate the amazing work that Mark has done in his 11 years as head soccer coach at Indiana Wesleyan,” said IWU Director of Athletics Mark DeMichael. “Lives have been impacted through his leadership and the team has achieved heights never before seen in program history. We appreciate all the work that he has done and wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors.”
