Women's 4x800m Relay Claims National Title on Day 2 of NAIA Indoor T&F Championships

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Indiana Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field were back in action on Friday for Day 2 of the 2026 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships. The women's 4x800m relay team of Elizabeth Barrett, Makena Cruse, Sophia Haslett, and Sydney Liddle were crowned NAIA National Champions after running a program-record time of 9:00.62. The group ran over six seconds faster than their qualifying time the day before. Braden Sweet headlined the day for the men's team, setting a program record in the 1,000 meters with a top qualifying time of 2:25.03.
