JACKSON, Mich. - Indiana Wesleyan men's track & field senior
Braden Sweet was named the Crossroads League Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is the first time he has claimed the honor this season, and the second weekly award for the Wildcats this year.
Sweet won the 1,000-meters and distance-medley relay at the Crossroads League Championships, hitting NAIA-A standards in each race and setting a new IWU program record with a time of 2:27.88 in the 1,000.
The Wildcats will head to Gainesville, Florida for the 2026 NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships. The meet will take place on March 5-7 inside the Alachua County Sports & Events Center at Celebration Pointe.
