MARION, Ind. - No. 6 Men's Soccer welcomed No. 12 Indiana Tech to IWU Soccer Field for a contest on a rainy, windy Saturday evening. After a 30 minute delay during warmups due to lightning, the match got underway. The first half began with the Wildcats showing early attacking intent, as Kai Haskell's shot hit the post in the 7th minute. Goalkeeper Kadin Wolfe was pivotal, making multiple saves, including a crucial one in the 10th minute. Indiana Tech struck in the 12th minute to break the tie. The battle continued and the back and forth half finished with the score still 1-0 in favor of the Warriors. The second half was tense and physical between the two highly ranked teams. Despite being reduced to ten men following a red card in the 65th minute, the IWU defense remained resolute by not allowing another score against the high pressure offense of the Warriors. Yellow cards and fouls on both sides came fast and furious as the Wildcats tried desperately to tie the game. The match came to a close at 1-0 in favor of Indiana Tech.
