MARION. Ind. - No. 15 Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer continues their great season with a win against No. 21 Rio Grande, 4-0. Tim Slusarczyk got the scoring started from an assist by Guzman Trigo in the 7th minute. The Wildcats continued a strong first half when Guzman Trigo got a goal of his own in the 32nd minute to take a 2-0 lead into the half. IWU started the second half strong in the 50th minute when Kyle Rinehart scored a header to extend the lead to 3-0. Yarek Carnegie scored the last goal for Indiana Wesleyan to give us the final score of 4-0. Logan Smith played great in goal and shut out Rio Grande.

WHAT HAPPENED

• IWU scored first in the 7th minute when Tim Slusarczyk found the net. 
• Guzman Trigo scored the second goal of the half in the 32nd minute, assisted by Brandon Nyagurungo.
• The Wildcats started the second half with another goal in the 50th minute, this time by Kyle Rinehart with a beautiful header for his first goal of the season.
• IWU's last goal came off the foot of Yarek Carnegie in the 70th minute, his sixth of the season.

• 6: Yarek Carnegie continued his hot season with his sixth goal of the year. Logan Smith also recorded six saves to shutout the Red Storm.
• 19: IWU continued their barrage of shots on opponents with nineteen against Rio Grande.

• "Super proud of the boys for the result today against a very good Rio side," said goalkeeper Logan Smith, "From the midfield to the front three, a great performance keeping the ball and continually putting the ball away as we have all season. Most proud of our backline for the pride in limiting Rio's shots and keeping the shutout, ultimately making my job easy. Excited to get after it against another good opponent in Boyce on Tuesday!"
