MARION. Ind. - No. 5 Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer took on St. Francis, and the weather, and comes away victorious, 3-2. Yet again, Brandon Nyagurungo scored the opening goal of the game for the Wildcats, this time in the 9th minute. After halftime, the Cougars would tie the game at 1 in the 70th minute. About 15 seconds later, IWU would retake the lead when Jose Garcia scored a beautiful penalty shot right by the goalkeeper. In the 81st minute, Yarek Carnegie scored another goal assisted by Brandon Nyagurungo. St. Francis responded with a goal of their own but the Wildcats would not let them tie the game and took the 3-2 win.

- Brandon Nyagurungo scored the opening goal in the 9th minute to put IWU up 1-0, assisted by Giuseppe Sanatacroce.
- St. Francis tied the game in the 70th minute.
- Jose Garcia snuck a long penalty shot by the goalkeeper to retake the lead for IWU also in the 70th minute.
- Yarek Carnegia scored yet another goal to continue his amazing season, this time assisted by Nyagurungo.
- The Cougars would score one more time late in the game but it was too little too late.
- 23: The Nyagurungo point tracker is now up to 23 after a goal and an assist.
- 10: IWU extends their streak to 10 wins in a row!
- 9: Carnegie now has nine goals in ten games for the Wildcats.
- "Tonight was definitely a test of character for our team," said Guzman Trigo. "Circumstances were not ideal but we found a way to get the 3 points against a very gritty squad, we keep pushing forward!"
