PADUCAH, Ky. - Indiana Wesleyan women's golf earned a seventh place finish at the Velvet Classic on Tuesday, tying with Indiana State with a 946. In a tournament with several NCAA Division I schools, the Wildcats found themselves only eight strokes out of a top five finish.

ROUND ONE

• IWU shot a 316 in the first round, good for 10th place.
• Caroline Gibson led the Wildcats with a 76.
• Kylee Purdy followed closely with a 78.

ROUND TWO

• The Wildcats shot a 319 in the second round, finishing day one with a 635.
• Freshman Kendall Brissey improved by eight strokes from round one, shooting a 76.
• Caroline Gibson and Kamryn Williams finished the second round with a 78.

ROUND THREE

• Indiana Wesleyan showed improvement in the final round, firing off a 311 to move into a tie with ISU for 7th.
• Sage Parsetich had the bst final round for the Wildcats, firing off a 75.
• Gibson and Purdy replicated their first round with a 76 and 78 respectively.
