JACKSON, Mich. - Indiana Wesleyan men's track and field senior Dan Heinig was named the Crossroads League Men's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. This is his first league honor of the season, and the second weekly award this outdoor season for the Wildcats.

Heinig won the shot put and took second at the discus for Indiana Wesleyan at the Lee Invitational. The senior automatically qualified for NAIA Nationals with his winning distance of 49.71 meters in the shot put.

The Wildcats will head to Ball State University on April 12-13 for the Ball State We Fly Challenge.
