WICHITA. KAN. - Indiana Wesleyan Men's Soccer forced overtime with late second half goal but got downed in the shootout, 4-3 by William Carey in the 2024 NAIA National Championship Round of 16. IWU defended well in the first half, not allowing a goal but could not find one for themselves. After a 0-0 score at half, William Carey would strike first in the 64th minute. Late in the second half, Giuseppe Santacroce scored the tying goal in the 86th minute. After two scoreless overtime periods, the teams went into a shootout and William Carey won from a score of 4-3.
