MARION, Ind. - No. 20 Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer capped off another great team display after beating Marian University at home on Saturday. With all five goals being scored by different players while being assisted, the Wildcats were moving the ball well in the attacking third and closed out with a 5-1 victory. IWU extends their winning streak to five games, and they will travel to Fort Wayne to face the University of Saint Francis on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

WHAT HAPPENED

• Jose Garcia got the attack started early in the 5th minute with the first goal, assisted by sophomore Brandon Nyagurungo.
• Brandon Nyagurungo scored his 11th goal of the season in the 22nd minute assisted by sophomore Jose Garcia.
• Sophomore Giuseppe Santacroce found the target in the 27th minute, with Jose Garcia getting his second assist on the day.
• Jaxon Carpenter scored the Wildcat's fourth goal of the half in the 36th minute assisted by Tim Slusarczyk.
• Winter Casseus scored the only goal in the second half in the 63rd minute, assisted by Brandon Nyagurungo.

NOTABLE NUMBERS

• 13: 13 shots on target with 18 shots in total had the Wildcats on a 72.2% accuracy on goal.
• 4: Four of the five IWU goals were scored in the first half.
• 2: Two players had two assists on the day, Jose Garcia and Brandon Nyagurungo.

• "It's good to get conference started on the right foot," said Matt Reeb, Head Men's Soccer Coach. "I'm pleased to see our guys reset and refocus on the second half of our season. We will enjoy this one tonight and then it's back to work next week."
