MARION, Ind. - Indiana Wesleyan Athletics is excited to announce the promotion of David Kalk from Operations Assistant to the Wildcats new Interim Sports Information Director.


"It's funny how God works sometimes," said Associate Athletic Director Steven Gidley. "David returned to IWU with the attitude to do whatever the team needed and when approached to fill this role he jumped in with both feet. David brings an extensive background having served as the SID at Bryan, and I look forward to seeing him and Joel Rennaker, our Sports Information Graduate Assistant, take our Department to the next level this year."


Kalk returned to IWU in July from Bryan College where he served as the Director of Sports Information at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee for two years.


"It has been amazing to see the Lord's provision throughout the transition back to IWU," said Kalk. "I want to thank Athletic Director, Deane Webb, and Associate Athletic Director of External Relations, Steven Gidley, for trusting me in this role. I am excited to continue to promote what God is doing on this campus and through these student-athletes. Our team is ready to continue to build on the level of excellence this department has already established."
