COLUMBUS, Ga. - Indiana Wesleyan softball used their platform to "platform up" last night, with an invitation to all ten teams from the NAIA World Series to a worship night at the stadium. This was a night that had been prayed for since the beginning of the season in hopes that the Wildcats would make the World Series and be able to share Jesus with other teams.
Â
The night started with praise and worship, followed by players and coaches from different teams talking about what God had been teaching them, continuing to note the goodness of God in every circumstance.
Â
Next, Indiana Wesleyan graduate-transfer
Reagen Radke shared her testimony with the group and spoke about her journey over the past four years, playing for multiple teams before landing at IWU for one final ride. Reagen shared about how a previous friend led her to Christ and IWU helped her go deeper in her faith. After sharing her testimony, Indiana Wesleyan Softball Head Coach
Steve Babinski, in a planned baptism, would give Radke the opportunity to outwardly and boldly display her love and commitment to Christ.Â
Â
After Radke was baptized, Babinski asked if God had been stirring in anyone else's heart to be baptized. Right away another Wildcat,
Amanda Cope, jumped in the water. This created an immediate ripple effect as players and a coach from five different schools all chose to share their faith through baptism. By the time it was 2am, 17 had said "yes" to being baptized. GOD HAD MOVED!
Â
Two athletes came to know the Lord for the first time last night as well. Coach Babinski shared how it was now the responsibility of everyone else there to walk alongside them on their faith journey. Their journey isn't over now that they have been baptized.
Â
God moved through Indiana Wesleyan Softball last night. A simple invite for a praise and worship night turned into an unforgettable night of seeing God move first hand!
Â
A true Wildcat victory.Â
