INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer wrapped up the 2022 regular season on Saturday with a road match against Marian University. The Wildcats spoiled the senior day celebrations for the Knights with a convincing 3-1 victory to secure a home game for the quarterfinals of the Crossroads League Tournament next Saturday.

WHAT HAPPENED

• The Knights took advantage of an early free kick to get on the board first.
• Giuseppe Santacroce netted the equalizer shortly after in the 18th minute.
• Brandon Nyagurungo scored his first goal of the day in the second half off a beautiful cross played in from Jose Pizarro.
• He put the Wildcats up 3-1 after carrying the ball across 40 yards of space and slipping the ball past the keeper. 

NOTABLE NUMBERS

• 22: IWU controlled the possession of the game and out-shot Marian 22-10.
• 10: Brandon Nyagurungo now leads the team with 10 goals this season.
• 2: Nyagurungo has scored 2 goals in each of the last two matches.
