MARION, Ind. - For the 25th time in school history, the Wildcats have claimed the Crossroads League All-Sports Trophy. This is the 19th time in the past 20 years the Wildcats have brought home the trophy.
"After an incredibly challenging year, I'm so proud of our student-athletes and coaches in winning the all-sports trophy," said Associate Athletic Director
Hannah Miller. "Their commitment to excellence in all areas has resulted in this athletic recognition."
The Wildcats totaled 159.5 points behind Regular Season League Championship performances by men's tennis, women's tennis, volleyball, men's basketball, competitive cheer, baseball, and a co-championship in softball. Women's basketball, men's tennis, women's tennis, volleyball, baseball, and softball all claimed Crossroads League Tournament Championships.
The Wildcats ended the year with 61 Crossroads League Athlete of the Week awards, 22 better than Marian who was in second with 39. IWU also collected nine NAIA Player of the Week awards, also good for most in the League.
The Wildcats turn their attention to July 2 when the final NAIA Learfield IMG College Directors' Cup standings will be released. IWU was in first place in the first release of the year on June 3.
