Box Score MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer and first-year head coach Matt Reeb opened up their 2020 slate Saturday, downing the program's first NAIA Top-25 team since 2015 in a 2-0 victory over No. 15 Rio Grande. Both goals for the red and gray came in the second half, with both being scored by freshman making their Wildcat debut.
It's just the program's second victory over the Red Storm in nine tries.

- Hudson Gongwer scored first for IWU in the 55th minute on a pass through the box by Jeremy Baldes.
- Giuseppe Santacroce dipped the cake in icing, netting his goal in the 81st minute.
- Seven yellow cards were handed out in the match with Rio Grande receiving four of them.
- Making his Wildcat debut in goal, senior Nathan Sharrett fended off a pesky Red Storm club, making six saves.
- Despite Rio Grande taking eight more shots, IWU landed four of their shots on goal while RG landed six.
