KINGSPORT, Tenn. – No. 5 Indiana Wesleyan swimming made a big splash on day one of the 2020 Mid-South Conference Championships, collecting two individual First Team All-MSC honors, while both relays took home Second Team All-MSC honors.
Sydney Darnell and Emma Travis repeated as Mid-South Champions, protecting their title in the 200 IM and 50 Free.
Darnell’s time of 2:05.80 was good for a new Mid-South Championships swim record. The previous record was set by Jessica MacDonald from Lindsey Wilson during the 2018 Mid-South Championships when she swam 2:08.01.
In the morning session, Kinsey Price and Hallie Hunt each secured a new NAIA Qualifying swim. Price secured hers in the 50 Free with a time of 25.38 while Hunt claimed hers in the 200 IM swimming 2:16.03.

- What a great start to our championship season! The team showed up tonight in big ways after a week of battling the flu and a long day of travel yesterday. We are excited about the chance to compete again tomorrow and continue a strong charge to the end of the season!
