MARION, Ind - Indiana Wesleyan men's soccer is headed to the 2020 Crossroads League Tournament Semifinals after clinching their spot 4-3 in penalty kicks! IWU found the back of the net first on a made penalty kick by
Wes Williams in the 37th minute. The Wildcats would head to halftime with the lead and a 12-5 shot advantage.Â
Ten minutes into the second half, USF would square things up on an admirable upper 90 goal by Ethan Vigario. The goal was made possible by a Benjamin Kunce cross to the right side of the field, setting up a Vigario hammer and a 1-1 ballgame. After 110 minutes of play, the game would head to penalty kicks.Â
Aaron Carr would make a clutch save for IWU during USF's first attempt. The Wildcats would convert on their first four attempts, with their fifth attempt being blocked. USF would have a chance to square things up during their final kick, but a ball not put on frame would seal the victory for IWU.Â
